Ilm Sieve was an experimental, prototype project; a proof of concept to see if people could (and would) use it and benefit it. Alhamdulillah, the response has been generally positive.

However, Ilm Sieve is broken; since it's based on a GCSE (Google Custom Search Engine), we can only do as much as Google provides; and this means that we are limited in terms of:

• A maximum of 500 sites (site patterns) for search results
• Poor management of multiple users updating searchable sites
• Incomplete and partial results of sites listed, such as Islam-QA

Finally, Google deleted our GCSE account; all our search-engine data is lost. We've put up a temporary, new one as a hold-over; however, we are now working towards an independant version of Ilm Sieve once more.
